Step 1: Express Interest

Step 2: Attend an Info Session
Throughout the year, we will be hosting information sessions for prospective parents and students. Ask all your questions, meet the leadership team, and connect with other parents.

Step 3: Apply to Enroll
Complete the pre-enrollment form and turn in to the academy. After your application is complete, our headmaster will meet one-on-one with you and your student.
The Cost of a Chesterton Education
St. Michael the Archangel Chesterton Academy is committed to offering an outstanding high school education at an affordable cost to families. Because tuition does not cover the full cost of an education at Chesterton, families are expected to aid in fundraising efforts throughout the school year.

Book Fees: $700
Uniforms: $200-300 -
Basic Parish Tuition Assistance: Tuition assistance is available through St. Michael Parish. Families must complete either a FACTS Tuition Assistance application or an EdChoice Scholarship application to be considered.
EdChoice Expansion Scholarship: All Ohio students are eligible to apply for the EdChoice Expansion Scholarship. Scholarship amounts are income-based, with a maximum award of $8,408 for grades 9–12 for the 2026–2027 school year.
Scholarship Granting Organization (SGOs): Two SGOs are set up to support students attending SMS (K-8) and SMACA (9-12). All families are encouraged to apply to both the Diocese of Toledo SGO and OCEN SGO.
FACTS Tuition Assistance: Additional tuition assistance is available through our school through our FACTS online portal.

Admissions Events
Placement Exam
All students are required to take a placement exam as part of the enrollment process. The placement exam is used as a diagnostic tool to ensure students are placed in the appropriate section of math or Latin, and to help identify areas of academic strengths and opportunities for growth.
We administer the Classic Learning Test 8 as our placement exam for incoming freshmen. The placement exam covers:
Verbal reasoning skills
Grammar and writing skills
Quantitative reasoning skills
An optional Latin exam is also offered
