Now Hiring: Substitute Teachers (2026–2027 School Year)

St. Michael the Archangel Chesterton Academy is seeking faithful, reliable substitute teachers to support our growing classical Catholic high school for the 26–27 school year. Substitutes will supervise and guide students, maintain a positive learning environment, and support the mission of joyful, rigorous classical education rooted in the Catholic faith.

Qualifications:

  • Practicing Catholic committed to the mission of Catholic education

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Valid substitute teaching license

  • Successful completion of all required background checks

  • Completion of VIRTUS Protecting God’s Children training

  • Strong classroom presence and clear communication skills

  • Ability to follow lesson plans and manage a class effectively

  • Prior teaching experience is helpful but not required
