Monthly Updates
2026 Parent Initiative: As we informed you last month, a group of parents have expressed their desire for St. Michael the Archangel Chesterton Academy to open in time for their children in 2026. Fr. Adam and the Board have told them that if they can recruit a sufficient number of interested students, then the Board will adjust its discernment model to consider a 2026 launch date. Currently, seven students have indicated their desire to attend.
Information Meetings: The information sessions at Sts. Peter and Paul in Ottawa and St. Wendelin in Fostoria were well-received by those who attended. Additional information sessions in Perrysburg and Bowling Green are currently being scheduled for January and February.
Diocese Process for New School Openings and Catholic Designation: The Diocese has provided us with an outline of the required process to be followed in order to have our Chesterton Academy formally recognized and blessed by the Bishop. We are grateful for the clarity the Diocese has provided, and for the Chesterton Schools Network which is helping us as we seek to complete the necessary steps.
